About Gotohairstylist The idea of Gotohairstylist came about during my attendance at Gene Juarez Academy. I started there in September 2016 and graduated in October 2017. During my studies there my teacher explained how it was important to think of a name for yourself to help build a profile i.e. (Instagram). She explained the importance of building a brand so that you’ll be able to show your experience to potential salons and for building clientele. So I listened, and I embarked on setting up my own profile and business page for my brand, I obtained my certificate and license in cosmetology and shortly after graduation, I obtained my salon/shop license and resellers permit. Prior to all of the social media proof and license gathering, I thought long and hard about what name I wanted to give my business and what it would mean not just for me but, for the community. I came up with “Gotohairstylist” because I wanted to be the hairstylist that everyone flocks to, not just for hair services but, for proper hair care, product knowledge, extensions, beauty supplies, and personable experiences. I wanted to be able to set my self apart from the misconceptions of what the general public thinks about hairstylists. Making sure that I was properly licensed to operate was the first mission. It didn’t stop there. After I finished cosmetology school, I did take on the salon life approach but, soon realized that it’s not for me and that creating a brand was a lot better and more rewarding, especially considering the time and effort that I had put in to obtain the knowledge to operate. I realized you have to be the walking build board and let your skill shine through for your business; that’s something that you can’t really do up under someone else's umbrella that has a roaming vision, and string along business plan. After two attempts of the salon life, I gained good and bad lessons but, that didn’t make me stop pursuing. Extending my services and knowledge in the way that I love doing it is what I offer to the community. Even though I make myself only available to the public by appointment only, I expanded my business further in the community to be able to offer delivery services locally and nationally. I extended myself to have an online retail store; all of this because I want to be that go-to hairstylist. Since the age of 14, I've always had a passion for doing hair and for making people feel confident and beautiful about their overall look. I am now providing accessible channels for people to be able to come and get services and products that they may be having a hard time trying to access. I have major dreams for Gotohairstlylist to expand into something bigger and better, so you'll always see new content and products being offered. I love what I do and will continue to provide and bless my community. Now that Gotohairstylist is storming to new heights, I 'm excited to talk about Gotohairstylistpro.com. This site embodies everything that I do. It was built to show the professional and retail side of what I have to offer such as my collection and booking site. I find that it's important to have as much knowledge behind you as possible to be able to operate a business on a solid platform. My Cosmetology license is and cert. was not the only thing that I obtained. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and an Associates Degree in Graphics technologies. I will proudly be continuing my education to ensure that what I'm providing is useful not only to my clientele and customers but, also to the structure and operation of the business.
